Why have I been directed here?
Police have a duty to contact the victims of youth crime. They work in partnership with other professionals to address the offending behaviour of children, in order that they cause no further harm and go on to achieve their potential as positive members of society. Restorative Justice allows victims to express how they have been affected and encourages the wrongdoer to take responsibility for what they have done and consider what they can do to put it right.
Restorative Justice is usually delivered by the Youth Offending Service and Victim Support. This website links with the Youth Offending Service that is dealing with the wrongdoer in your case.
They would very much like to hear about how you have been affected. Even if you decide not to participate further, please do click on the 'my comments' button below so the victims worker can challenge the wrongdoer about the impact of their actions.
This website is not an official Police site but it is run by the West Area Police Youth Offending Team. Please do NOT enter any personal details, we will use your Crime (CRIS) number to identify you. Please do not name anyone in your comments.
